We drove to Tahoe to see the snow. The roads were clear and dry both ways.

Lynn went with us. We stayed at Harvey’s, at South Lake Tahoe, just across the Nevada state line, on the lake side of US 50.

We drove up Tuesday, March 11, stayed overnight, and drove back Wednesday. Tuesday night we gambled and had a steak dinner at Harvey’s Sage Room. Wednesday morning Lynn and I drove around Emerald Bay, stopping at a South Shore park and Pope Beach.

Lynn got us some sort of deal on the rooms, which were pretty good sized and had views of the lake.

Wednesday morning Lynn and I headed out, stopping first at Regan Beach park.

Tahoe had had a lot of snow. It was piled high next to the roads, and was pretty dirty.

Wednesday: Regan Beach

Pope Beach was closed for the season:

Then back to Harvey’s (checkout was noon) and a little more gambling. The tables were generous that day.

On the way back, we stopped again at the Brookfield restaurant, at the Sunrise exit off US 50, just east of Sacramento:
