PartyScore download … last updated March 18, 2011

Tip:

When you click on DOWNLOAD (below), Windows will prompt for “Run” or “Save”. Either works.

“Run” is recommended.

“Save” stores the PartyScore msi file on your disk. Then “Open” or run the msi file.

The saved msi file occupies about a half of a megabyte and is useful only if you later

want to transfer it to a removable disk so you can transfer PartyScore to the computer

of another member of your bridge group.

That method is not necessary if they have Internet access: just download from here.

Either method (Save or download) won’t work if they have Windows 7.

Except for selecting the directory if you Save the msi file, just choose the default Windows options.

For more information about installation, click here: HELP.

This shows the expected Windows pop-up windows, with comments to guide you through the process.

Download PartyScore 2.6 to Windows XP:

Click:               download PartyScore

Later:

When you click on the “Start” menu (lower left corner of your screen), it will show “New program installed”,

whether or not PartyScore has been run. You need to run PartyScore from “Start” once to clear that message.

Click on Start, All Programs, and select PartyScore from the list (it should be highlighted).

If you want to transfer the PartyScore program to another computer, see the comments under “Save”, above.

Simply copying the directory “C:\Program Files\PartyScore” will not install the desktop icon.

If you want to transfer the PartyScore data to another computer, you need to find the “PartyScore.txt” file and

copy it as a CD or Email attachment file. Bring up Windows Explorer (Start -> My Computer). Assuming a

default installation, you will find “PartyScore.txt” on the C drive at “Program Files\PartyScore”.

This could be done to preserve the player roster, but it’s probably easier to retype the data.
